Does it seem like there are a half a dozen new survey sites launching every day and all over your Facebook feed all telling you that you can make hundreds of dollars, but are any of them real? We decided to try Survey Junkie because of their reviews.

The Sign-Up Process:

Survey Junkie’s sign-up process was straight forward and easy. It took about 10 including the profile surveys that added up to 100 points which equates to $1.00. Once you are done with that you get offered a tour which is a guide to the dashboard, you also get points for that too.

Point Accumulation:

Gaining points was pretty fast. If you install the extension you get 150 right away, if you sign up for other partnered offers you get more points. Before I even took my first survey I had almost 300 points which is about $3 and you only need $5 to cash out via PayPal.

Surveys:

Survey Junkie is straight forward about how many surveys you will qualify for, which is about 1 in 5. What is helpful is on the dashboard you know exactly how long the surveys are and how many points they are worth. I have noticed some that there are surveys that are 10 minutes worth 120 points and other surveys 60 minutes for 150. You can pick and choose which ones you want to do and if you don’t qualify, they give you some pity points, unlike other sites. Another big benefit of Survey Junkie is that the qualifiers are specific and you won’t spend 10 minutes answering questions just to find out you don’t qualify.

Payout:

You get paid out via PayPal after you reach 500 points. Before you do so you need to verify your information and your identity including where you live, your phone number, etc. And if they can’t automatically verify you, you have to get verified manually but having one of their customer service agents call you on a non-VOIP line. I was able to get enough points on the first day to redeem a payout. So if you get 500 points a day for a month you could easily make $150.

Getting Paid doing Surveys

Now that you know how Survey Junkie works, let’s cover the pros and cons:

Pro

  • It’s 100% legit
  • It’s easy and you can do it from the comfort of your home
  • Low Dollar Payout
  • Lots of surveys to take
  • Has high marks on Trustpilot

Con

  • You have to qualify for a survey
  • Takes a while to get a lot of points

Conclusion:

Survey Junkie is definitely a legit way of making a few dollars on the side, but you shouldn’t think of it as a side income. It’s something great to do during your downtime to earn a few bucks here and there. If you are on your couch playing Candy Crush, you could be making money instead.
